The figure takes into account the collection of the third PNRR installment
The Ministry of Economy and Finance announces that in October 2023 the balance of the state sector closed, provisionally, with a requirement of 4,5 billion euros. In October 2022 it closed with a requirement of 11,1 billion.
In comparison with the corresponding month of 2022, the balance records an increase in collections due, among other things, to the disbursement of 10 billion euros of non-repayable contributions provided for by the third installment of the Next Generation EU.
Please note that the PNRR installment was a total of 18,5 billion, of which 8,5 billion are loans that have no effect on the requirement but only on liquidity.
