Christmas message from the Minister of Education and Merit

“Christmas has taken on a value that transcends the Christian religion, universally becoming a symbolic date for all human beings. It is the day in which certain values are traditionally reaffirmed: solidarity, peace, love. However, as Trilussa wrote, what is the point of "making the crib" if you are not willing to really welcome that message of peace, solidarity and love? May it therefore be an opportunity to truly open ourselves to the "spirit of Christmas", and to understand and feel that a better way of living is really possible for all of us.

If we open our hearts to the spirit of Christmas, we can do wonderful things big and small.

The writer and educator Gianni Rodari wrote this short and enlightening verse on Christmas: "If we shake hands, miracles are done and Christmas day will last all year". So why limit the Christmas spirit to just one day? Why not draw inspiration from this symbolic date to always have peace in our hearts and a smile on our lips? Peace and a smile to give to others every day, to build together a friendlier, more respectful, more supportive world. A more authentically human world.

It is with this sentiment, and with this resolution, that I sincerely wish the whole large community that is the school, managers, teachers, administrative staff, auxiliary technicians, parents and students, a Christmas of serenity and joy".

This is what we read in the letter of good wishes sent to the school community by the Minister of Education and Merit Giuseppe Valditara, on the occasion of Christmas.
