After the registration by the Court of Auditors of the DPCM of appointment, signed last June 15 by the President of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Michaela Gelera takes office as Extraordinary Commissioner of the Institute.
The first woman to lead the largest social security institution in Europe, an expert in welfare, Gelera was also involved in insurance and social security policies.
She is a member of the National Council of Actuaries and coordinator of the Pensions Commission for the same Order.
As stated by the Minister of Labour, Marina Calderone: “For me it is important to have indicated as special commissioner of INPS a valuable professional, a well-prepared woman. We believe in the value of women".
