The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Milan have executed an order of precautionary custody in prison issued by the GIP of the Court of Milan against 5 subjects (4 Italians and 1 Romanian), held responsible for various reasons of detention and port of material exploding, aggravated by the mafia method, illegal carrying and selling of firearms, as well as snatch theft
The precautionary measure is the culmination of the investigation conducted by the Carabinieri of the Monza Investigation Unit and by the Cassano D'Adda Company (MI), coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Milan (Dr. Ilda Boccassini and Dr. Paolo Storari) and launched following the act of intimidation committed on 10 October 2017, when an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) containing gunpowder was detonated in front of the entrance door of the house of a 46-year-old Ecuadorian, causing enormous damage to the entire building. In this circumstance, following the explosion, an order was issued by the Mayor of Pioltello to evacuate the building with the consequent evacuation, still in force today, of twelve families, for a total of 27 people. The investigative activity had already made it possible to arrest the principal of the criminal act, son of a person already convicted of mafia association, as well as grandson of the head of the "Local" of 'ndrangheta di Pioltello, and carry out the arrest of the suspect of the crime of three more associates.
Two of the recipients of the current precautionary measure, in particular, were charged with the detention and transport of the explosives used to carry out the bomb attack, as well as the sale of a 7,65 caliber pistol with relative ammunition at the price of 800 euros. .
The four Italian recipients of the measure were traced and brought to the penitentiary institutions of Opera (MI) and San Vittore, while the foreigner's research continues.
