Last Tuesday 19 March, the Carabinieri of the Rho Company arrested two Italian minors - one from 2008 and one from 2006 - in execution of a precautionary custody order in prison, as they were both considered seriously suspected of the crime of complicity in aggravated robbery and one of them is also under investigation for attempted murder and possession of weapons and objects capable of offending.
The provisions issued by the GIP of the Juvenile Court of Milan, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court, arise from a complex investigative activity conducted by the Operations Section of the Rho Operational and Radiomobile Unit following an attempted robbery consumed on February 2nd, around 23.00 pm, in the underpass of the FNM “Bollate Centro” railway station.
On that occasion, the victim, a young Erasmus student of Indian citizenship, was first approached by three young men who, after trying to steal his mobile phone and cash, chased him for a short distance, until one of them managed to to reach him and stab him twice in the back. Following the injuries, the injured person was transported with a guarded prognosis, as an emergency, to the Niguarda Hospital in Milan, due to significant internal bleeding.
The investigators, thanks to the testimonies collected, the viewing of images of the video surveillance system alongside the traditional control activities of the territory, have reconstructed the dynamics of the event, gathering serious indications of guilt towards the suspects.
At the same time as the execution of the order, the military searched the homes of the two recipients of the measure and, furthermore, of the third member of the group, also a minor and seriously suspected. These operations made it possible to find the same clothing used by all three suspects to carry out the attempted robbery, a circumstance which corroborated the evidentiary framework reconstructed by the investigators.
Following the execution of the precautionary measure, the two minors, as ordered by the proceeding Judicial Authority, were associated with the “Cesare Beccaria” Juvenile Penal Institute in Milan.
