MIPAAF: new tender open which assigns 700 thousand euros to finance innovative projects against food waste

The Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies announces that a national selection has been launched for the financing of innovative projects aimed at limiting waste and using food surpluses. The call, provided for by the law against food waste, follows the similar selection already carried out in December 2017 which saw the financing of ten winning projects for a total of 500 thousand euros. The new announcement provides for an allocation of 700 thousand euros. A maximum funding of 50 thousand euros is foreseen for each project. Projects can be submitted by 10 May 2018.

PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS

The projects will be evaluated according to their innovativeness, applicability, classes of products and audience concerned, be integrated or network, provide a share of co-financing by the proposer, experience of the proposer, orientation to the recovery of surpluses for human consumption and, in particular, to the distribution to the needy, any forms of advertising

 

WHO CAN PRESENT THE PROJECTS

  1. public bodies, universities, bodies governed by public law and subjects with prevalent public participation;
  2. associations, foundations, consortia, companies, even in cooperative form and individual enterprises;
  3. a combination, in the forms permitted by current legislation, including temporary or in the form of start-ups, of two or more of the individuals identified above;
  4. a network of companies, as defined by current legislation;
  5. subjects registered in the National Register and the Registers of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces of the National Office for Civil Service.
