MiPAAF: Minister Patuanelli signed a decree in support of the eco-sustainable transition of the olive-oil supply chain

The decree defining the criteria and methods for granting grants for the support and development of the olive-oil supply chain was signed today by the Minister of Agriculture Stefano Patuanelli to encourage aggregation in the sector, increase production national olive oil, thus increasing the overall sustainability of the sector.

The provision, intended for olive producers associated with producer organizations, provides for the allocation of 30 million euros, from the supply chain fund: 10 million euros are intended to support investments in new plants and 20 million euros to modernize the plants existing.

Priority will be given to investments in disadvantaged areas with greater surface area, as well as for those characterized by a high density and with irrigation management.

The operating procedures for submitting applications will be defined in AGEA's implementing circular within 30 days of the publication of the decree in the Official Gazette.
