Indemnify the millers for the damage suffered, favor the restoration of production activities. These are the objectives of the nationally directed measure, total value 35 million, destined for the Salento oil mills, in the Puglia olive regeneration plan, and which from today sees the payment decrees for about 2 million 800 thousand euros destined to 161 milling companies.
"Immediately after starting it, last May, with the publication of the operating instructions on the Agea website", comments Minister Bellanova, "I had urged the Offices enormous speed in the procedures and in the necessary feedback with a single password: rapid responses to olive growers and companies affected by the spread of xylella. We are keeping our word: on the side of nationally directed measures like this one, and on the transfer of the sums to the Region destined for compensation ”.
On the basis of the operating instructions, in recent weeks the aid applications submitted to Agea have been 168 aid applications, of which 161 were eligible.
The sums being liquidated are equal to 65 per cent of the total amount, equal to 4.179.849.
Agea is also currently investigating the 68 preventive reconnaissance forms submitted by July 20, 2020. Based on the results of the investigation, the Agency will publish the list of additional mills that are entitled to request aid within on August 28, 2020.
For those who have not yet submitted the aid application, AGEA with operating instructions n. 70 of 28 July 2020 extended the submission deadlines until 30 September 2020.
