Cheeses with a geographical indication with a seasoning corresponding to the minimum established by the relative specifications, generic cheeses, curds: Italian producers will be able to stock up to a maximum of 12 thousand 654 tons and the companies concerned will be able to submit the request starting from May 7 and until at June 30, 2020, on the basis of the provisions that coordination is about to issue.
Thus in the Circular of the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies signed today, which indicates the provisions on granting aid, following the publication of the Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/591 in the Official Journal of the European Union no. L-140, of 4 May 2020) ,.
"This is a measure highly anticipated by the national dairy supply chain," said Minister Teresa Bellanova, "particularly penalized in recent months by the collapse in consumption of some types of products following the emergency from Covid-19, mainly due to the blockade of the ho.re.ca channel and the drop in exports ".
