The proposal presented by the Minister of Agricultural, Food, Forestry and Tourism Policies Gian Marco Centinaio was approved yesterday by the State-Regions Conference, with which the value of the coupled payment envisaged by the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in favor of beet is increased from sugar, rice and durum wheat.
Undersecretary Franco Manzato was present at the meeting.
This is a highly anticipated provision from the world of production because it intervenes to support some products particularly exposed to international competition.
The increase in coupled support for beet, rice and durum wheat was also decided to encourage farmers to make even more incisive commitments on the sustainability of the various production processes, the only way to differentiate Italian products of excellence and improve their competitiveness on the markets.
