Infrastructural works amount to more than 17 billion - including construction sites completed, contracted and started - grounded by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport from September 2019 to today.
This is a volume of construction site openings equal to more than one billion per month, a real development engine for the growth of the country, for employment and work.
“In just over a year, despite the pandemic, we have managed to set up a large part of our Italy Veloce Plan. A new and important impulse to public investments, in the absolute belief that in addition to modernizing the country's infrastructural network, they generate new jobs and constitute a sure driver for economic growth ”, commented the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Paola De Micheli.
“Almost 7 billion Anas construction sites and over 11 billion those of the Italian Railway Network in infrastructures completed, started or delivered with the ordinary legislative instruments. Works that, beyond the impact of the single infrastructure, ensure economic well-being for the territories, reduce distances and improve the quality of life of people, the true unit of measurement of our work ”continued the minister.
The works counter does not include public construction sites belonging to the regions, provinces and municipalities, nor the works pertaining to motorway concessionaires.
Also published is the investment count amounting to over 11 billion. These are the resources assigned by MIT to local authorities for specific projects.
Finally, the list that illustrates and lists the public works carried out by the supervisory authorities that are currently being monitored is under construction.
