Mossad, helps European intelligence. Foiled bomb attack in Paris

Israel helped foil an alleged Iran-sponsored bomb attack in Paris. Several arrests between Iranian agents and at least one diplomat in France, Belgium and Germany. The arrests began on June 30, when members of the Belgian special forces group arrested two Iranian spouses living in Belgium in Brussels. The couple were in the process of carrying explosives and a detonator. The following day, July 1, German police arrested an Iranian diplomat serving at the Iranian embassy in Vienna, Austria. On the same day, a fourth person was arrested by the authorities in France.
All four individuals were accused of organizing an attack on the annual conference of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) which took place on June 30 in Paris. The NCRI is led by Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK), a militant group with roots in radical Islam and Marxism. The MEK was designated as a terrorist group by the European Union in 2009 and by the United States in 2012. Subsequently, the MEK lost the designation of a matrix linked to international terrorism because it would provide one of the most pervasive means for the West to subvert the Iranian government .
On Thursday, Israeli authorities announced the lifting of a general censorship decree that prevented the media from discussing the country's role in helping Europeans thwart the Paris bombing. According to Israel Channel 2, a private television based in Jerusalem, the Iranian attack was prevented after the Israeli agency Mossad revealed the presence of several suspects involved in the attack. The Mossad then provided the intelligence of Germany, Belgium and France with the necessary information which then led to the arrests of the suspects. However, Channel 2 said the Israeli government did not provide a reason for the initial censorship imposed on the country's media, nor did it explain why it had decided to remove it later. On July 4, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared publicly to announce that Israel had been instrumental in foiling the Paris bomb attack. Speaking at a memorial service in Acre, Israel, Netanyahu said it was "no coincidence" that the attack on Paris was stopped. But the Israeli leader did not expressly indicate that Mossad had played an active role in the operation ”.
