According to what Nova has learned, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha today signed a new individual partnership and cooperation program: the South Korean Foreign Ministry announced in a press release, according to to which the document, which will replace the previous agreement dating back to 2012, provides for regular consultations, mutual visits and exchange of information, as well as cooperation on cybersecurity, non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and military and political collaborations. "We hope that South Korea and NATO, which share common values such as peace, democracy and human rights, improve the global partnership in response to new security threats such as terrorism and nuclear power," the statement continues. Stoltenberg is in South Korea, after making an official visit to Japan on October 30 and 31.
