Jamming of Moscow to operation NATO, Finland summons Russian ambassador for clarification

Finland has summoned the Russian ambassador about the alleged blocking by the Russian military of GPS signals of vehicles during the great NATO military exercise - Trident Juncture - which was held from 25 October to 7 November in Norway, in the North Atlantic and in the Baltic Sea, as well as in the skies of Sweden and Finland, attended by thousands of US and Alliance soldiers. This was reported by the Helsinki Foreign Ministry.

Ambassador Pavel Kuznetsov "was invited to the ministry to discuss the GPS incident," spokeswoman Hanna Paivarinta said. Finnish Prime Minister Juha Sipila explained that the blackout of GPS satellite signals in the Arctic region put civil aviation at risk.
