The controversy on the provisions adopted in the school sector continues. The debate that characterized the week just ended could continue with bright tones even today to solve the problem of gatherings in local public transport.

Recall that the DAD is one of the solutions requested by the Regions to deal with the problem in various parts of Italy and in particular in large cities. In fact, it was impossible at the start of the school year to avoid crowds, especially at peak times when students have to go to school or return home.

A problem that has been the subject of heated discussions, with some Regions that have asked for the activation of distance learning for older students.

Yesterday a long confrontation between the Government and the Regions precisely on the school node that has not yet seen a solution, while the Scientific Technical Committee suggested focusing on smart working and on the staggering of high school hours, with the hypothesis of entry at 11 and one distance teaching fee to lighten transport (but a reduction in the maximum capacity of buses is also not excluded).

A first step to avoid the DAD was taken yesterday in the budget law. The 2021 maneuver provides, in fact, additional funds to be used in the first months of next year for local public transport, "especially the school one". The resources would amount to 350 million euros.

A new government-Regions confrontation on measures to contain the Covid epidemic is scheduled for today: the Minister for Regional Affairs, Francesco Boccia, according to what ANSA learns, has convened a summit for this morning at 10 am with Regions, Anci and Upi.

Local authorities will be responsible for judging whether the funding will be sufficient or not and whether to ask to focus again on the DAD or the way of staggering in and out of schools will be considered practicable.

Meanwhile, the government is ready with a new DPCM that will include new restrictions. In fact, the press conference of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte is scheduled for today, which should illustrate the new containment measures of the Coronavirus contagion.

Yesterday evening, the premier had a river meeting with the heads of the majority delegation on what the new decree should provide.

Conte, in today's press conference, will have to reassure the Italians about the lockdown hypothesis circulated in recent days, but will also have to give explanations in reference to many activities - such as gyms, bars and restaurants - which will be penalized by the restrictions.

It is difficult to predict the content of this new provision. The over 3-hour long confrontation of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte with the majority heads of delegation and ministers Roberto Gualtieri and Francesco Boccia, did not lead to a unanimous decision on the anti-contagion measures that will enter the new DPCM. At the moment there is talk of staggered hours for the school, closed gyms, stops in bars and pubs from 21, to restaurants from 23 or 24. We will need another comparison with the Regions and Municipalities and a final discussion in the government, before Conte - probably in the afternoon or evening today - announce the new squeeze to the country.

There is still no agreement on various aspects, the decisive could be the comparison with local authorities, in particular with reference to the stop at fairs and congresses, and the hypothesis of prohibiting the consumption of alcohol while standing outside the premises from 18.

As suggested by the CTS, the new squeeze should focus on smart working and the staggering of high school hours, with the hypothesis of entry at 11 and a distance teaching fee to lighten transport (not even a reduction in capacity is excluded. maximum of buses).

It is also possible to stop amateur contact sports, to close gyms and swimming pools.

Also much discussed anti nightlife measures and a possible "curfew": the fear is that the closing of bars and pubs at 21 pm, restaurants at 24 pm, could weigh on a sector already in great difficulty.

All therefore waiting to know the content of this umpteenth DPCM that will be communicated by means of a press conference also broadcast live on SkyTg24, La7, Canale 5 and Rai1.

The time is not yet known as Giuseppe ConteConte has yet to dissolve several knots before finding an agreement between the interested parties on the measures to be taken to contain the virus.

Most likely Giuseppe Conte's conference will be broadcast in the evening and, in any case, it will be anticipated by a message published on social channels, from the institutional profiles of the Government and the premier himself, in which the time of the live broadcast will be made official. The press conference will also be broadcast live on social media, as well as on the Palazzo Chigi Youtube channel.

There is still no agreement on the new DCPM
