Manduria murder: the three alleged perpetrators arrested

In the early hours of dawn, the State Police proceeded to detain a suspect in the crime issued by the District Attorney of Lecce against three twenty-year-olds, deemed allegedly responsible for the murder of BAHTIJARI Natale Naser, which took place in the night between the 22nd and February 23 in Manduria.

Since the discovery of the young man's lifeless body, the investigators of the local Flying Squad, coordinated by the District Attorney's Office of Lecce in close collaboration with the Public Prosecutor's Office of Taranto, have focused their attention on the three Mandurians, already the subject of investigations for trafficking narcotic substance, immediately obtaining important evidence for this hypothesis.

In particular, once a name has been given to the lifeless body found in the countryside of Manduria, it can be assumed that the young victim was the brother of a subject from whom the three suspects, in the previous days, would have bought cocaine and who therefore that same evening, on behalf of his brother, he went to Manduria, accompanied by two friends, precisely to collect the payment.

The analysis of the images of the public and private video surveillance systems acquired immediately after the discovery of the body made it possible to gather suitable elements to document that the young victim had arrived in the central Piazza Vittorio of the Ionian town in the late evening of 22 February aboard a FIAT 500 and here, after several hours of waiting, he was approached by two men with whom he walked away, advancing into the alleys of the historic centre.

The results of the further investigative activities made it possible to reconstruct the possible events that occurred after this first encounter: the victim was allegedly accompanied to a bar in the historic center of Manduria where - it is believed - there was the first violent attack against him during of which she would have been repeatedly hit with edged weapons.

Subsequently, the three suspects would have taken the BAHTIJARI Natale Naser, aboard the car of one of them, to a peripheral area of the country and here, after getting him off the vehicle, they would have subjected him to a real execution, hitting him with repeated stabs.

At this point, the three allegedly loaded and carried the dying young man in the same car, and then abandoned him on the overpass near which his lifeless body was found the next morning.

In the phases following the execution of the BAHTIJARI Natale Naser, the suspects, in collaboration with other subjects in the identification phase and with conduct still subject to punctual evaluation, would have attempted to erase the traces of the heinous murder, destroying the victim's body and stealing with violence and threats, to the two friends (who had accompanied him and who, unaware of what had happened, were still waiting for him in Piazza Vittorio) the car in which he had arrived in Manduria.

Although the reasons that led to the brutal murder of BAHTIJARI Natale Naser have not yet been precisely identified, it seems conceivable that in the background there are frictions related to the non-payment of the drug purchased by the suspects.

Furthermore, the methods adopted before, during and after the homicidal action - which would take on the contours of a real public punishment, repeatedly calling into question a well-known clan of the Sacra Corona Unita hegemonic in Tarantino - would highlight the attributability of the same to a context of organized crime and, specifically, to the action of the aforementioned mafia clan.

The collaboration of the Manduria Police Station, the Bari Crime Prevention Department, the Taranto Scientific Police Provincial Cabinet and the Bari Flight Department is invaluable for the execution of the detentions.
