"The creation of an area in the Bois de Vincennes where naturism will be authorized is part of the vision of broad views for the use of Parisian public spaces," said Penelope Komites, councilor of the municipality of Paris with responsibility for green spaces. In the area, which covers 7.300 square meters, guards and exhibitionists will not be tolerated, assured the authorities. The news was greeted with "real joy" by the Paris Naturists Association: "this demonstrates the openness of the city and will help change people's attitude towards nudity, towards our values and our respect for nature ", Underlined Julien Claude-Penegry, responsible for communication for the organization. In France there are over 2,6 million people who practice nudism, not counting foreigners who come from all over Europe every year to take advantage of the 460 dedicated areas across the country, including 155 campsites and 73 beaches. So far, however, Paris was excluded from the list, except for the Roger Le-Gall pool, also in the 12 ° arrondissement.
