Important bilateral meetings with the Polish Government in the largest Defense Fair in Central Europe.
The MSPO, at its 31st edition, is in third place among all European exhibitions, after the exhibitions in Paris and London. "An excellent fair, which, in this historical moment where the Russian-Ukrainian conflict still persists, represents the importance of developing relationships and collaborations in the Defense in the Euro-Atlantic area" declares the Undersecretary of State for Defense Matteo Perego of Cremnago on an official visit to the exhibition, by delegation from Minister Crosetto, accompanied by the Secretary General of Defence/National Armaments Director Gen. CA Luciano Portolano and HE Ambassador of Italy to Poland Luca Franchetti Leopard.
“This important fair was the occasion” states the Undersecretary “to meet the Head of the Polish National Security Office Jacek Siewiera and the Polish Undersecretary of State for Defence Michael Wisniewski in order to strengthen the already consolidated bilateral and industrial relationship between the two countries".
“Potential new cooperation opportunities in the Defense, Security and Aerospace sectors were explored,” he continues Perego "the imminent operational activities relating to the use of Italian F-35A aircraft for the temporary strengthening of the air defense of the Polish territory have been confirmed, to which will be added, from the month of December, the NATO Air Policing activity (F-35A and EFA ). There are many ongoing projects involving relations between the two countries, Italy is available to provide all the necessary support for the renewal needs of Polish FAs, also facilitating traditional relations with Italian companies in the sector”.
“During visits to the exhibition stands of our companies, where I spoke with the top management of Leonardo e MBDA, I also had the opportunity to meet" concludes the Undersecretary, "the British Defense Procurement Minister James Cartlidge and the Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Volodymyr Havrylov to which I reiterated the importance of common efforts to support the Ukrainian people and their legitimate defense against Russian aggression.”
La MSP extension, opened by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda and in the presence of the Polish Defense Minister Marius Blaszczak, is the largest trade fair for the sector in Central Europe.
