Naples State Police - Execution of ordinance

By delegation of the Public Prosecutor of Naples, we inform you that this morning, in the Scampia district, the Naples State Police executed an order with which the GIP of the Court of Naples, at the request of the local District Anti-Mafia Directorate, applied the precautionary measure of custody in prison against five people, that of house arrest against two people and that of the residence ban in the Municipality of Naples against one person, all seriously suspected, in various capacities, of the crimes of association aimed at drug trafficking, even aggravated by the mafia method, and detention for the purpose of drug trafficking.

The precautionary measure summarizes the results of an investigation conducted between 2021 and 2022, which documented the operations of a criminal association which, on behalf of the Amato/Pagano Camorra clan, also known as the Splinter clan, managed the entire chain of trafficking and retail dealing of various types of narcotics in the area known as the "Sette Palazzi", between via Tancredi Galimberti and via Antonio Labriola, in the Scampia district.

The organization took care of every aspect of the illicit activity, from the supply of the narcotic to the retail marketing, which was managed by the street leaders, organizing the distribution by type and by work shifts.

The investigations made it possible to document how the complex of drug dealing squares in the "Sette Palazzi" area was able to make huge illicit profits.

The measure carried out is a precautionary measure, ordered during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are permitted and the recipients of the same are people subjected to investigations and, as such, presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
