The investigation focused on the acquisition of the statements of numerous subjects, located throughout Italy, who virtually came into contact on the social Whatsapp with the arrested person, and on the in-depth computer investigations carried out by the Postal Police and Communications Department of Catania on the Telephone set confiscated from the suspect. In particular, after having incited to the Jihad and invited to kill the infidels and to conquer the West, while provoking the disapproval of many other participants, he affirmed that those who thought like him were present in a widespread manner on Italian soil. and ready to act. Technical investigations and digital forensic analysis performed by the Postal Police of Catania on the phone's memory and browser history allowed to ascertain beyond the presence of numerous hymns, images and videos in favor of the Islamic State sent to others. All files that had been deleted by D'IGNOTI, however, were recovered by the Postal Police.
