In the morning today, at the disposal of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Naples, the Neapolitan Mobile Team executed 17 in custody orders, issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations, charged to the same number of suspects held responsible, for various reasons, of association aimed to the trafficking and marketing of drugs and detention and the port of war weapons.
The investigative activity, coordinated by the Naples Anti-Mafia District Directorate, made it possible to identify an international organization dedicated to drug trafficking, believed to have business relations with the Camorra clans operating in the eastern area of ​​Naples.
Drug trafficking has involved the various types of narcotic substances, with particular interest in cocaine. Stable relationships with Colombia, Spain and the Netherlands were found, places where agreements were signed for the purchase and transportation of narcotics in Italy. Once arrived on the national territory, the drug was destined to feed the squares of Naples, with particular reference to those in the districts of Ponticelli and San Giovanni, as well as other regions, such as Tuscany (Massa Carrara) and Lazio (Latina and Frosinone).
In the course of the investigations, numerous trips were made by the organizers to the aforementioned countries, as well as the trips of the cc.dd. "Couriers" carried out to supply the markets outside the region.
The objective findings made during the investigative activity that have allowed the crystallization of a reality with a high criminal level have been conspicuous; specifically, during the investigation, 5 people were arrested, in flagrante of crime, and the following were seized:
- 12 pistols of different caliber,
- 2 UZI submachine guns,
- 1 sniper rifle,
- 636 bullets of different caliber,
- Katana, loaders, precision electronic scales and frequency reducer, cd Jammer,
- 20 kg of cocaine,
- 20 kg. hashish,
- 5 kg of marijuana,
- cash money of about € 10000,
- € 170.000,00 in € 20,00 false banknotes.
During the operations 6 pistols of various caliber, cutting material and about € 70.000,00 in cash were also sequestered.
