Prigozhin undisturbed in Russia

Confirmation from the President of Belarus lukashenko"The fighters of the Wagner group are in their camps, their permanent camps, the ones where they have been since they left the front“. Prigozhin, Lukashenko added yesterday, is not in the territory of Belarus but he is in St. Petersburg and perhaps this morning he went to Moscow.

The news was already circulating between the lines of the local press in St. Petersburg yesterday morning. In particular, the Fontanka wrote that Prigozhin would return to Russia in the night between Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 July to go to the FSB headquarters. He allegedly returned to his homeland to recover the money and weapons that had been seized during the revolt.

According to commercial apps that control flights, writes Repubblica, a jet connected to Prigozhin would have left on Wednesday from St. Petersburg for Moscow and would have headed for southern Russia yesterday to then fly north again.

Lukashenko confirmed the immunity enjoyed by Prigozhin and his militiamen: “If you think Putin is so malicious and vindictive as to "slash his throat", this will not happen.

On the story of Prigozhin's movements, the Kremlin glosses over: "We don't follow his movements, we have neither the ability nor the desire to do so"spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The most accredited version is that he was allowed to return to Russia to sort out his things before finally disappearing.

Meanwhile in Russia, according to reports from the press, the investigation into the former Putin loyalist continues. The searches of his homes and the places where his business is conducted continue. The alleged home is said to be a luxurious house, in the style of a mafia boss, complete with a helicopter parked in the garden, where gold bars, wads of dollars and rubles, weapons, but also several passports with different names would have been found. Surrounding the scene worthy of one of the best action films, a wardrobe full of wigs and photographs of his disguises. Among the photos also one that represents a sequence of decapitated heads.

The pro-Wagner Telegram channel claims that the photographs found and the narrative spread is only a drama developed by the Kremlin security forces to dismantle the fame and myth of Progozhin which until yesterday had taken root in Russian public opinion which he considered his figure comparable to that of a national hero.
