World premiere: Pericle Odierna at the Pantheon with the Mythos symphony to celebrate San Benedetto

(by Agostino Odierna) The recurrence of the feast of St. Benedict, Patron of Europe, last 11 July, was the occasion that filled the "temple of the seven planetary divinities" in Rome with enchanting notes, also thanks to the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, of the Nuova Scarlatti Orchestra, of ANCI Lazio, of the municipality of Capranica Prenestina, of Artemus, Accademia Musicale, of Perinsigne Chapter of the Pantheon, of Insegni Cappella Musicale del Pantheon, Sportello Italia, Confassociations and Verrocchio Foundation.

The Scarlatti Orchestra was the protagonist of the evening and was conducted by Maestro Alfonso Todisco, both able to offer moments of joy to the audience.

The lineup included four plays, which followed one another at different times; from the last seven words of Christ on the Cross (introitus) Hob: XX: 4 by J.Haydn, Symphon n.7 op. 92 by LV Beethoven, at Mythos by P. Odierna, first acquitted, at Ave Maria by A. Pizzolla, on the occasion of the centenary of his birth.

The Mythos of Maestro Odierna, with its lively and engaging notes, has aroused a riot of unanimous approval.

The composer, Pericle Odierna, already known in the national and international music scene, was awarded at the Pompeii Film Festival in 2014 with the Massimo Troisi award for the best soundtrack of the year for the film "The glass lion", by Globo d'Oro 2020 for the best soundtrack for “Picciridda” at the Sodestival 2020. The 2020 Career Award at the Sarno Film Festival concludes the rich book of awards.

Maestro Alfonso Todisco, pianist, conductor, has participated in advanced courses in piano with prestigious masters such as S. De Simone, P. Iannone, FI Zichner; he also began his studies in 2015 with Maestro Nicola H. Samale, with whom he then attended the G. Martucci Conservatory of Salerno graduating with 110 cum laude and honorable mention. Master Today, expressed words of appreciation for don Davide Martinelli, organizer of the concert, as well as head of the musical Temple of the Magdalene and for the Scarlatti Orchestra, without whom music would not have played its predominant role.
