The Department continues its efforts in coordinating all the components and operating structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
In particular, in the field of health monitoring related to the spread of Coronavirus on our territory, to date, April 23, the total number of people who have contracted the virus is 189.973, with an increase compared to yesterday by 2.646 new cases. The total number of currently positive is 106.848, with a decrease of 851 clients compared to yesterday.
Of the currently positive 2.267 are undergoing intensive care, with a decrease of 117 patients compared to yesterday.
22.871 people are hospitalized with symptoms, a decrease of 934 patients compared to yesterday.
81.710 people, equal to 76% of the currently positive, are in isolation without symptoms or with mild symptoms.
Compared to yesterday i deceased are 464 and bring the total to 25.549. The total number of those discharged and recovered instead rises to 57.576, with an increase of 3.033 people compared to yesterday.
In detail, there are currently 33.873 positive cases in Lombardy, 12.845 in Emilia-Romagna, 15.152 in Piedmont, 9.925 in Veneto, 6.171 in Tuscany, 3.466 in Liguria, 3.230 in the Marches, 4.486 in Lazio, 2.978 in Campania, 1.871 in the Autonomous Province Trento, 2.936 in Puglia, 1.135 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 2.301 in Sicily, 2.100 in Abruzzo, 1.494 in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, 355 in Umbria, 817 in Sardinia, 823 in Calabria, 463 in Valle d'Aosta, 229 in Basilicata and 198 in Molise.
