With the go-ahead to finance the second lot of the Maglie - Santa Maria di Leuca connection, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport is returning to the territory a strategic infrastructure that is particularly awaited by the Puglia Region.
This was announced today by Minister Paola de Micheli at the inauguration of the construction site of the Bari Sud railway variant.
The 124 million euros follow the 43 already made available by MIT for the modernization project of the second lot of the state road 275 and will allow the completion of an itinerary with high standards of practicability and road safety as well as reduced travel times.
A route that will no longer cross the municipalities of Lucugnano, Alessano, Montersardo and Gagliano del Capo, with evident benefits in terms of traffic and habitability of urban centers.
Thus takes shape the project hypothesis agreed with the territories and outlined in the control room of the Region consisting of two lots, the first of 244 million euros, already fully funded and now in the final design phase, the second of 167 million euros which will complete the Adriatic corridor Maglie - Santa Maria di Leuca.
