RFI: "Ciampino station upgrading intervention completed"

The infrastructural upgrading of the Italian railway network (FS Group) in the Ciampino station was completed.

The works, which will allow greater performance and speed up the itineraries, involved the modification of the railway superstructure on the tracks of the lines for the Castles and the redevelopment of the existing docks. The interventions also involved the technologies for the regulation of railway traffic both in the Ciampino station and in the Rome Termini Traffic Control Center.

The investment, worth 15 million euros, represents a first phase of the larger project which involves the construction of the quadrupling of the Capannelle - Ciampino line and other upgrading works on the Rome side.
