Bellanova: "new important step in the implementation of the plan"

The Decree establishing the Extraordinary Plan for the olive regeneration of Puglia was signed yesterday by Minister Teresa Bellanova, with the aim of ensuring its correct implementation.

This includes: Giuseppe Blasi, Head of the Department of European and International Policies and Rural Development, President, for the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies; Carmelo Petraglia, designated by the Ministry for the South and Territorial Cohesion; Debora Rogges, indicated by the Ministry of Economic Development; Gianluca Nardone, Agriculture Directorate of the Puglia Region.

"Despite the serious period we are going through," said Minister Teresa Bellanova, "in recent months our Offices have continued to work with the determination of always on the implementation of the Plan for olive regeneration of Puglia, approved in the State-Regions Conference and now awaiting the registration of the Court of Auditors.

The schedule of the individual actions is already black on white, "continues the Minister," and work continues on compensation to farmers and oil mills. Thus the technical comparison with the Region to finalize the contents of the other measures and finalize the calls.

As of today, an important body such as the Supervisory Committee called to ensure the correct and timely implementation of the Plan enters into full operation, so that the individual actions can obtain the expected results as soon as possible.

In the meantime we have published, and extended for the coronavirus emergency, the ban on food districts and the one for the financing of district contracts in the area affected by xylella for a total amount of over 30 million, guaranteeing further important resources to a territory already heavily affected and tested by this emergency ".
