Giuseppe Puttini, candidate for president of the "Cambiamo Insieme" list at the next ODCEC elections in Naples confirms that the category is increasingly a stable reference point for bewildered taxpayers who do not know how to orient themselves among the many decrees. Puttini asks the Government for greater involvement in the formulation of laws because accountants are those who, in addition to being effective in formulating the rules, can mediate between those who issue the rules, those who must apply them and those who must respect them

Naples, 24 October 2020. “In the Covid-19 emergency, accountants are the category on the front line like doctors. In fact, the health crisis was immediately followed by the economic crisis, overwhelming above all the medium and small businesses, the hundreds of thousands of businesses distributed throughout the country that are closing or are in great difficulty ". Thus Giuseppe Puttini, candidate for president for the Cambiamo Insieme list in the upcoming elections for the Order of Accountants of Naples. Central, Puttini emphasizes, the role of accountants as a stable reference point for increasingly disoriented taxpayers: "With all the news that followed one another since the early stages of the coronavirus emergency, customers went haywire and poured all the his anxieties to which we had to respond clearly, providing reassurance where we often sailed on sight while awaiting subsequent decrees.

In this global crisis, ours is a consultancy that now goes beyond our profession. We are increasingly psychologists as well as accountants because every day the client in difficulty asks us how to not close, how to get incentives, especially now that the specter of lockdown is advancing in great strides again. We have therefore created a working group operating 24 hours a day to give customers what they are looking for: clear answers and security. What I feel like saying, however, is that we accountants should be consulted before formulating the rules, not afterwards. Because knowing the subject, the territory and the needs of all taxpayers, we can make ourselves useful in formulating the rules and our experience can be useful to those who have to legislate on the subject. Indeed, it would be important to avoid the risk of "disconnect" between those who issue the rules, those who must apply them and those who must respect them. For this reason, if we are actively involved in the formulation of the rules, we can be even more "active" and proactive mediators between the State, our customers and all ordinary citizens who have to pay taxes ".
