The agreement signed by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Paola De Micheli and the President of the Institute, Franco Bettoni, provides for a series of joint information and training activities to improve the dissemination of the culture of prevention among operators in the sector

With the three-year memorandum of understanding signed today by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Paola De Micheli, and the president of the Inail, Franco Bettoni, the National Register of Truckers and the Institute join forces to improve dissemination the culture of prevention in a sector that plays a strategic role for the country, as confirmed also during the lockdown phase.

Starting from the awareness that the adoption of best technical and organizational practices can contribute to the development of the entire sector and to the safeguarding of road traffic and environmental safety, the agreement provides for the carrying out of a series of joint information activities and training of road transport operators on the risks associated with the exercise of the profession, on the best practices to be implemented for the protection of the health and safety of operators and on the prevention of epidemiological risk from the new Coronavirus.

The initiatives that will be implemented include, in particular, a communication campaign on road safety issues.

The various areas of collaboration between INAIL and the national register of road hauliers will be regulated through the stipulation of specific implementation agreements, which from time to time will also involve other administrations, public bodies and social partners, whose activities can positively affect the initiatives. to undertake.
