In the early hours of this morning, following the flood that hit the south-eastern side of Sardinia, an HH-212 helicopter from the 80th SAR Combat Center in Decimomannu (CA) was used in the search for a missing family of 5 in the countryside of Assemini (CA). The crew, alerted by the Poggio Renatico Air Operations Command at the request of the Prefecture, took off at 2:10 am from the Decimomannu air base to head to the nearby Assemini countryside, where the ground rescue teams were already engaged in the search of the 5 members of a family who was in a car overwhelmed by the waters of a torrent in flood.
