The rankings have been published, priority to interventions where there are more crowded classes
The rankings relating to the 270 million euro public notice for local authorities for light construction works (200 million) and rental of teaching spaces (70 million) have been published on the website of the Ministry of Education. The measure is part of the interventions planned for the start of the 2021/2022 school year in the presence and in safety. The funds, on the precise indication of the Minister Patrizio Bianchi, were distributed taking into account, as a matter of priority, the quantity of pupils present in the territories and, for the first time, the large classes.
Applications were open from 6 to 13 August and were divided according to three different types of intervention: for rents and related running costs; for the rental of modular structures and related operating costs; for the work of securing and adapting spaces and classrooms.
Specifically for rents, 269 Bodies have been admitted to financing for a total of 26.645.919,66 euros. For rentals, 247 entities are financed, for a total of 43.190.380,54 euros. For the safety and adaptation works, 1.299 Bodies are admitted to the loan, for a total of 175.112.377,39 euros.
With the allocated resources, according to the data provided by the local authorities themselves, action is taken on a school population of 806.233 female students, corresponding to approximately 38.000 classes.
