School, first PNRR notice published for joint projects on strengthening Stem skills

Valditara: "With these initiatives it will be possible to bridge territorial gaps and provide students with the skills required by the world of work"

The Ministry of Education and Merit has today published the first notice for the presentation of projects - financed with PNRR resources - by private schools of the first and second cycle of education to enhance the teaching of STEM subjects (Science, Technology , Engineering and Mathematics) and multilingual. The resources can be used to promote, through new activities and with the help of digital technologies, innovative teaching for students, as well as to strengthen the scientific and linguistic skills of in-service teachers.

“With these initiatives – declares Giuseppe Valditara, Minister of Education and Merit – we aim to enhance the talents of each student and expand the scientific skills increasingly required by the world of work. At the same time, it will be possible to bridge territorial and gender gaps. We are also sending a precise signal: the public education system is unique and also includes private schools".

The activities can also be carried out in partnership with public and private entities, universities, research centres, bodies and organizations that carry out training activities for school staff and students. The managing bodies of non-commercial private schools will be able to submit their application on the dedicated ministerial platform, "Futura PNRR", by 15 December 2023 at this link: https://pnrr.istruzione.it/news/avviso-pubblico-per-le-scuole-paritarie-nuove-competenze-e-nuovi-linguaggi/.
