School. Reduction of territorial gaps in learning and combating school dropout

School, from MIM 790 million euros for the new plan to reduce territorial gaps in learning and to combat school dropout

Valditara: "With this measure we want to accompany students towards educational success and the completion of their studies"

The total financing authorized by decree of the Minister of Education and Merit amounts to 790 million euros Joseph Vallettara, for the new plan to reduce territorial gaps in learning and to combat school dropout.

The measure, included in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, involves 7.980 schools throughout Italy and promotes individualized learning paths and the strengthening of basic skills, through a targeted and personalized tutoring system. In particular, 750 million are intended for lower and upper secondary schools, while 40 million are reserved for the Provincial Centers for Adult Education (CPIA) for actions to support young people who have dropped out of school. The decree also provides for the issuing of a specific notice aimed at non-commercial private schools in lower and upper secondary schools.

“This new plan – declares Minister Valditara – is in line with the personalization of learning and the valorisation of the talents of each student, so that all schools can accompany children towards educational success and the completion of their studies. This is a measure which, due to its size and investment, will offer an extraordinary contribution to reducing territorial differences in learning and the rate of school dropout".
