Serie B. Foggia-Novara finishes 2-2. Castors in Cesena

The first of the two postponements of the seventh day of the Serie B championship between Foggia and Novara ends at Zaccaria with a 2-2 full of emotions and which reflects a lively and unpredictable championship as we have already emphasized more than once. It is Foggia that starts with greater decision, in search of its first home success, but in its best moment, as often happens in football when, despite creating a lot, it is not possible to realize it, it is Novara to take the lead. It is the 31st minute during the first half and Moscati invents the goal with a great shot from outside that goes under the intersection of the posts. The blow dealt by the Piedmontese stuns the Rossoneri who, up to the goal of the disadvantage, had not conceded practically anything to the opponent, after the Novara goal they show their side on some occasions. The most sensational brings the Piedmontese one step away from 0-2, but Sciaudone's conclusion ends up on the crossbar. At 51st Foggia catches the draw thanks to a penalty kick granted for a foul by Golubovic on Rubin and coldly transformed by Mazzeo. At 59th the Rossoneri complete the comeback with the substitute Fedato who manages to jump the visiting goalkeeper Montipò and to deposit on the net to the delight of the good public who rushed to the Zaccheria. The Novara, however, does not lose heart and proves to be a category team. The corner kicked by Ronaldo landed on Troest's head who nearly passed Guarna. Then Sciaudone tries again but on the occasion the Rossoneri's goalkeeper is ready and deflects for a corner. On the reversal in front it seems done when Chiricò has the opportunity to close the game but Montipò denies the 3-1 goal and keeps Novara afloat who, six minutes from the end, manages to equalize thanks to a header from the newly entered Dickman making the most of a Sansone corner. It ends with a substantially fair draw that allows the two teams to continue traveling paired at an altitude of 7, in a position just above the red zone of the standings with only two points ahead of the Ternana-Pro Vercelli couple and three on the rear Cesena who just yesterday after Camplone's exoneration he announced the return to Romagna of Fabrizio Castori, a highly experienced coach who had led Cesena with excellent results ten years ago and who had been the protagonist of the Carpi fairytale which ended last year in the final to return in Serie A, lost against Benevento.
