Summit Trump-Putin, a summit with little expectations

Today the expected meeting between the American president Donald Trump and the Russian president Vladimir Putin.

There are many topics on the table that could be dealt with in the rooms of the presidential palace in Helsinki: Syria, Ukraine, disarmament, Russiagate, oil, trade but it would seem that the expected summit will end with nothing considering Trump's statements on Twitter he wrote; "Our relationship with Russia has never been worse than this."

Interviewed by the CBS on the eve of the summit, Trump said that the US has "many enemies". In addition to the EU and China, the American president also indicated Russia as an enemy "in some ways".

To the indiscretions on the content of the interview given by Trump and the message on Twitter, Donald Tusk, President of the EU Council, replied that on one post he wrote: "America and the EU are the best friends. Whoever says we are enemies spreads fake news ».

To make today's meeting even more complicated, the "bomb" launched on the eve of the summit by special prosecutor Robert Mueller who formalized the indictment of 12 agents of the Russian military services, accused of having violated the computer network of the Democratic Party in 2016 American thus dismissing the hope of being able to dismiss Russiagate with a general statement of condemnation, by the United States and Russia, of any attempt to manipulate the electoral processes of others.

The summit could therefore end with the classic statement issued by both sides: "we agree that we do not agree on everything", but wait, Trump has accustomed us to big surprises.
