Success stories of rural development programs in the primary sector

Agriculture looks to the future and does so starting from the success stories that have characterized the 2014-2020 Rural Development Program of the National Rural Network (NRN).

The most significant experiences, from the North to the South of Italy, of the national rural development programs of Mipaaf were presented today in the virtual “room” of the Palazzo dell'Agricoltura, in the presence of the Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, Stefano Patuanelli.

“Today's event represents the starting point for positively affirming shared values ​​and strengthening the reputation of institutions and agricultural policies. We are currently engaged in a process that, from the definition of an innovative, shared and efficient strategy in resource management, presented at the setting up of the National Partnership Table for the construction of the National Strategic Plan (PSN), will lead to the definition of the future Common Agricultural Policy and which will have to integrate with the measures of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan ”, underlined the Minister of Agricultural Policies Stefano Patuanelli. "Through the National Rural Network we have the opportunity to evaluate the effects of the various measures of development programs and this ability can lead us to propose elements to be used for the strategic management of resources also within the National Strategic Plan" ..

The virtual conference on “Rural development, benefits and opportunities for Italian agriculture. The success stories of the rural development programs and the communication of the rural network ”, continued with the intervention of Simona Angelini, managing authority of the national rural network.

'The objective of the NRN is to foster rural development, the participation of the partnership, organizations and administrations directly or indirectly involved in rural development. The 2014-2020 programming focused on the greater involvement of all stakeholders, on the transparency and visibility of EU and national policies, underlining the opportunities for young people and the promotion of innovation in the agri-food and forestry sector ", explained Simona Angelini who then summarized the numbers of the Plan, referring to the two-year period 2019-2020: 24 areas of activity, 37 files and 538 project outputs, carried out at different levels in the planning, management and implementation of rural development policy in the local, regional and national, through managing authorities, paying agencies, LAGs, stakeholders.

Best practices were also presented on EAFRD monitoring and information systems, Access to PSR measures, Bpol and showcase of opportunities, Rural4Learning and Dissemination of innovations and business good practices in terms of innovation.

The virtual reconstruction of the Palazzo dell'Agricoltura del Mipaaf, location of the online event, also hosted the interactive exhibition “From North to South: success stories of rural Italy”. ?
