The German Bild on SeaWatch: "Italian plebeians"

Andrea Indini on newspaper.it reports the article of the German newspaper "Bild", which attacks our government for the affair of Sea Watch.  To attack our government, the Bild insults all Italians. Not that it's the first time. But the words he has chosen to deal with the subject are very violent. It defined us "Pöbel". Which means, roughly speaking, plebs, pleabaglia, rabble. And it wasn't limited to this. In the article signed by Albert Link and Nicholas Scharlak he also defended the NGO, which for years has been dumping illegal immigrants on our shores, and the captain Carola Rackete that forced the blockade of the Interior Ministry illegally entering Italian territorial waters and making waste paper of our laws.

Sea Watch is a German non-governmental organization based in Berlin and Hamburg. The same commander is German. Yet Chancellor Angela Merkel has been careful not to intervene in this harsh attack on our country. Only Interior Minister Horst Seehofer intervened. But he did it to silence those progressive mayors who had offered to host the 43 illegal immigrants loaded on board the vessel led by Rackete. Not a word was spent to condemn the forcing of the blockade, nor was a single minute spent, at European level, trying to resolve the situation. And while the stall continues, we also find ourselves having to put up with the invectives of the BILD. In the article Pöbel-Attacke gegen deutsche Kapitänin (The attack of the mob on the German captain) the newspaper takes it, (in primis), with Salvini accusing him of spending so much time on social media and working little and accusing him of attacking migrants to obtain the consent of the Italians.

The article by itself BILD is a summary of the grueling tug-of-war to which Rackete is forcing the Italian government. Obviously, this is not an objective report. Suffice it to say that the sources to which the German newspaper draws are Republic and Roberto Saviano. There is not the slightest shadow of the crimes committed by the captain of the Sea Watch 3. Indeed, it even goes so far as to incense it for its commitment at sea. And in doing so he recalls the reasons that led her to do so: "I am white, German, born in a rich country and with the right passport. When I realized it, I felt the moral obligation to help those who did not have the same opportunities as me ". For the two German journalists, who have not failed to criticize Salvini for "The hard line against refugees" e "The closure of ports to rescue ships", his reasons (as well as those of the same NGO) must be taken seriously and defended.

For his part, Salvini responded to this verbal attack with an emoticon on Twitter. And he invited the Germans to take back their NGOs and leave Italy and the Italians alone. That remains black on white "Pöbel" in the title. A term that is, to say the least, derogatory, which should outrage even those Italian progressives who in these days have sided with the German captain. From Berlin they see us as "plebablia", but they are the real rogues who are once again unloading an emergency all over Europe and are doing so by breaking a multitude of laws (Italian and international).
