(by Francesca Proietti Cosimi) Alberto Bucci, president of Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna, died in Bologna.
He was defeated by his biggest battle the one against death, ill for a long time of leukemia, he would have accomplished 71 years in April. Historical figure of Italian basketball, Bucci won three championships as coach of Virtus in the 1984, 1994 and 1995 and has linked his name to other historical squares. He also won 4 Coppe Italia and a Super Cup. In the 2015 he was included in the Italian Basketball Hall of Fame.
