The Minister of Education, Professor Patrizio Bianchi, met the trade unions this morning by videoconference. The school, the Minister continued, “has always been open in recent months, either face to face or remotely, it has shown the ability to react, it has worked to maintain continuity. It had to and knew how to innovate, as it had never happened before. We must enhance the work done, it is a heritage to be collected and disseminated ". On school times and places and on the operating model to recover the gaps in sociality and individual learning due to the extraordinary conditions in which teaching took place during the last school year, the Minister announced that he had activated a working group by staff of the Ministry and figures operating in the area, school leaders, teachers, experts in the field of inequalities.
With reference to the health emergency, the Minister reiterated that the priority is "to vaccinate the staff as soon as possible: you have to go to school feeling safe". The Ministry of Education, in conjunction with that of Health, is monitoring the situation relating to infections and variants of Covid-19.
In relation to the subject of personnel and the need to be ready for the start of the school year in September, the Minister announced that "a technical discussion table will be activated on recruitment, continuous training and on the subject of mobility: structural operations are needed , we must get out of the economic actions and the continuous emergency ”. There will also be a table on data transparency.
The Minister expressed his willingness to meet the trade unions on a regular basis, activating a "continuous dialogue".
