Turin - seized arsenal of war weapons

In recent days, the DIGOS of the Turin Police Headquarters, following an articulated investigation coordinated by the local Public Prosecutor's Office and directed by the Prevention Police (UCIGOS), carried out several searches with the collaboration of the homologous offices of Varese, Pavia, Novara and Forlì, arresting (validated the 12 in July with the application of the precautionary measure in prison) the Italian citizen DEL BERGIOLO Fabio, of years 60, for the detention, at his home in Gallarate (VA), of a huge quantity of weapons of war (including assault rifles and machine guns) and common gunshots, mostly from Austria, Germany and the US.

In the same operating context, the State Police subjected the Swiss citizen MONTI Alessandro Michele Aloise, aged 42, and the Italian citizen BERNARDI Fabio Amalio, of years 51, both responsible for detention and marketing of a MATRA air / air missile in use by the Qatari armed forces.  

The activity of judicial police, which began in July 2018 also with the activation of telephone and data interception, originates from the activities of some Italian fighters with extremist ideologies highlighted in the past for having taken part in the armed conflict in the Ukrainian region of Donbass.

As part of this activity, several contacts were found between one of the aforementioned militiamen and an arms expert who proposed the purchase, on behalf of a third party, of a missile of which some photos were also transmitted via whatsapp messaging.

The further investigative evidence allowed us to identify, afterwards, the real intermediary of the sale, in the quoted DEL BERGIOLO Fabio, with a police record, who, after an intense investigative activity also with stalking, was subjected to search and arrested by following the discovery of a real arsenal of illegally held firearm weapons and communes inside the home, consisting of: 

·         9 cd war rifles assault rifles

·         1 Scorpion war machine gun

·         3 hunting rifles

·         7 guns

·         6 parts of war weapons (shutters, magazines, barrels, barrels)

·         20 bayonets

·         306 parts of firearms (chargers, barrels, shutters, silencers, optics)

·         831 ammunition of various caliber

Inside the house of the aforementioned were also found several coats of arms and signs with Nazi symbols (including swastikas and references to the Waffen-SS).

Immediately after the search of the home of DEL BERGIOLO (former customs official, highlighted in the 1998 among the founders of the former movement "MAC, Confederate Action Movement" - which promoted the free sale of weapons "- and candidate for the Senate elections of 2001 in the ranks of "Forza Nuova"), the State Police of Turin went near the airport of Rivanazzano Terme (PV) where, inside a large warehouse, a cylindrical casing of about 4 meters was found containing a air / air missile mod. MATRA MP EM F20 S530 of French manufacture, of the length of 3,54 meters with indications about the origin from the armed forces of Qatar.

Therefore, the entire surrounding area was put in safety in order to allow, with the necessary precautions and cautions, the intervention of highly specialized personnel of the Italian Army who found it to be an air-to-air missile without explosive charge but resettable by people specialized in the sector.

Thanks to some investigative investigations, the material availability of the missile and of the entire deposit in the hands of MONTI Alessandro Michele Aloise and BERNARDI Fabio Amalio, both with police records, were immediately found in a Hotel adjacent to the airport of Forlì and subjected to "Crime suspect arrest" by staff of the DIGOS of Turin, in collaboration with the counterpart of the Forlì police station.

The warehouse, containing a large number of military material, including two rocket launchers, was subjected to seizure for a more in-depth analysis of the instruments contained therein.

The operation of the State Police coordinated by the Public Prosecutor of Turin involved the Public Prosecutor's Offices of Forlì, Novara, Busto Arsizio, Pavia and the local DIGOS of the Police Headquarters which were directed by the Central Directorate of Prevention Police-UCIGOS.
