🎤Trump abandons the nuclear deal. Iran announces that it will respect the commitments set out in the agreement

After the announcement of Donald Trump, who withdrew the US from the agreement with Iran, the International Atomic Energy Agency (Aiea) confirms that Tehran will respect "the commitments relating to nuclear power" provided for in the agreement.

The director of the UN agency, Yukiya Amano, reiterates in a note that "Iran is subjected to the strictest nuclear verification regime in the world" and that the 2015 agreement has produced "a significant increase in verifications".

The criticisms raised by Paris are worrying. The French Minister of Economy, Bruno Le Maire, harshly criticized today the decision of the United States to exit the nuclear agreement with Iran, calling it "a real diplomatic error", adding that it is "unacceptable" for the US to pose as "Economic gendarme of the planet".

Le Maire admitted that Trump's decision will have "consequences" for French companies, citing Total, Sanofi, Renault and Peugeot: "In two years - he told France Culture - France had tripled its trade surplus with the Iran".

Critics also come from the President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani, participating in a radio program "Radio anch'io" on Rai Radio 1. Commenting on the US position, Tajani said that Trump's choice does not help the peace process in the Middle East and aims at isolating the US ".
