Turkey, attacks Isis's work of those who fled from Raqqa

Two ISIS figures from nineties who fled Raqqa are accused of having ordered some of the deadliest attacks in recent years in Turkey. This was revealed by intelligence sources in Ankara, cited by Hurriyet, according to which the so-called 'emir' Ilhami Bali and Mustafa Dokumaci would be among the hundreds of jihadists who fled during the siege of the former capital of Isis in Syria, thanks to the alleged agreement with the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militias, with the backing of the United States and Great Britain, revealed last week by a BBC investigation.

According to Ankara, Bali is the mastermind of numerous attacks, including those in 2015 in Suruc, in which 34 people died, and at the Ankara station, where more than 100 victims were. Dokumaci is instead believed to be the head of Adiyaman's Isis cell , in the south-east of Turkey, which included the jihadists behind the attacks in Suruc and Ankara. A bounty of 2 million Turkish lira (almost 4 thousand euros) hangs on the 900 leaders of the self-styled Islamic State. From the beginning, Turkey has strongly opposed US support for the Syrian Kurds in the fight against Isis.
