Use to conquer Africa

As reported by askanews, the United States is planning to present a new strategy this week to strengthen its presence in Africa and counter the growing influence of China and Russia on the continent.

The plan, prepared by the White House National Security Council, will mark a change of course for the administration, eager to focus on the rivalry with Beijing and Moscow, rather than the terrorist threat, hitherto central to US strategy in Africa. So far, President Donald Trump has shown himself indifferent to the continent, so much so that it took more than a year to meet the leader of an African country; also, in many states where the US ambassador still be appointed.

The new strategy, according to the NBC, should in any case not include more funds or aid for Africa, but a simple reorganization of the resources already used on the continent. If China has been present for years, so much so that it has become Africa's largest trading partner, Russia's presence is more recent and characterized above all by military cooperation and arms sales agreements.
