Usa: Russia has poisoned former spy

The White House has expressed the US position regarding the nerve agent which the UK claims was used by Russia to poison former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter on British soil. "The United States stands in solidarity with its closest ally, the United Kingdom," the Trump administration spokeswoman said in a statement released yesterday in the US. Sarah Sanders explained that “the United States shares the UK's analysis that Russia is responsible for the reckless nerve agent attack on a British citizen and his daughter and we support the UK's decision to expel Russian diplomats, considering it a right answer ". For Washington, "Russia's latest action fits perfectly into the typical behavior with which Russia ignores the order based on international law, threatens the sovereignty and security of countries in the world and tries to blow up and discredit democratic institutions and processes Westerners ". The White House note ends by saying that the US is working with allies and partners "to ensure that this kind of deplorable attack never occurs again." The diplomatic clash between the United Kingdom and Russia, certainly not the best due to the events in Ukraine and Syria, risks taking on an international character. Donald Tusk, the President of the European Council, said he was ready to put the matter on the agenda of next week's council. London intends to urge the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons to "independently verify" the nerve agent over which the Kremlin denies any responsibility. Russia has accused the nation across the Channel of having committed an "unprecedented provocation".
