U14's 2th album is out: "Songs of Experience"

Island Records has announced the release of “Songs of Experience”, U2's fourteenth studio album, 13 new songs that will be available from December 1st in CD / digital Standard and Deluxe, Double Vinyl and Box Extra Deluxe formats.

Recorded in Dublin, New York and Los Angeles and completed earlier this year, "Songs of Experience" was inspired by the advice that Brendan Kennelly - Irish poet, writer and Professor Emeritus at Trinity College Dublin - has addressed to Bono, to "... write as if you were dead".

This new album is made up of songs that are real "intimate letters" inspired and dedicated to the people and places close to the heart of Bono Vox, The Edge, Larry Mullen Jr. and Adam Clayton. “Songs Of Experience” is the ideal follow-up to 2014's “Songs Of Innocence”: the two titles take inspiration from the 18th century English poet William Blake's collection of poems “Songs Of Innocence and Experience”. The North American Tour will start on May 2nd.
