Versalis: closing signed for the entry into 40% of Finproject's capital

The operation was announced shortly before the lockdown, the closing officialises the creation of an all-Italian leader in the polymer supply chain for special applications

Versalis announces the conclusion of the acquisition of the 40% stake in Finproject from the VEI Capital fund. Eni's chemical company thus enters the sector of applications of high-performance formulated polymers and extends its positioning towards businesses more resilient to the volatility of the chemical scenario.

The work to complete the operation during the lockdown has never stopped and today Versalis starts an industrial partnership with a group, such as Finproject, leader in the production of crosslinkable and thermoplastic compounds and in the molding of products for the footwear sector and products in ultralight materials with the XL EXTRALIGHT® brand.

Together they will develop new materials with an approach aimed at sustainability and circularity, to create solutions capable of bringing innovation in countless strategic sectors such as wire and cable, footwear, automotive, design, fashion and many other industries under development.
