Versalis, Eni's chemical company, has licensed to Supreme Petrochem Ltd., leader in the Indian market of compact and expandable polystyrene, the continuous mass technology for a 70 thousand tons / year ABS plant that will be built in Amdoshi-Wangani, Raigad District in the State of Maharashtra (India).

This is a state-of-the-art technology, which allows the production of styrene polymers with reduced environmental impact, thanks to the very low emissions and reduced energy consumption, with which applications for the automotive industry, household appliances, electrical-electronic sector, are created. sanitary, in furnishings.

The transaction confirms Versalis' primary role in the styrene sector and strengthens its position in the Asian market, an area in strong expansion in the petrochemical sector and increasingly sensitive to the selection of technologies for increasingly sustainable production.

Versalis will be supported by Eurotecnica Contractors and Engineers SpA, with which it has recently signed a collaboration agreement in the styrene sector. Eurotecnica, which will contribute to the basic engineering design for Versalis licensees, is an Italian company, founded in 1962 and part of the Proman Group, specialized in the provision of engineering services related to proprietary technologies with a consolidated leadership in the Asian market, in particular for melamine technology.
