Exclusive Video Bolkestein: ANA - National Association of Ambulants, meets Minister Calenda who clarifies the position of the dicastery on prevailing income

(by Massimiliano D'Elia) In the light of the "wrong and misleading" information circulating among the street vendors, the ANA decided to consult the highest authority on the matter, the Minister of Economic Development Carlo Calenda, to avoid doubts and unnecessary anxieties to a category that is already quite vexed. The concerns of operators relate to the interpretations circulating on the notion of 'prevailing income' for the purpose of exemption from the obligation to tender for the concession, in compliance with the Bolkestein Directive.

The meeting, clarifying, was strongly desired by ANA, through its National President, Vincenzo Caiazzo, in constant contact with the technical staff of Minister Calenda. The Minister was met in Prato after his speech at the local Chamber of Commerce.

Present at the meeting, in addition to the ANA, represented by the President Vincenzo Caiazzo, also two street vendors of the Association No Bolkestein Assidea, Stefano Aglietti and Alessio Pestelli.

Thus, Minister Calenda, asked about the aforementioned concern of the street vendors:

“I would like to clarify once and for all what is the principle of the Ministry of Economic Development on the functions relating to concessions for street vendors. The criterion is that whoever works in his concession must be kept harmless by Bolkestein. Anyone who does not work in his concession and has a large number of concessions that he rents must compete ". “Other interpretations circulating these days are biased that have nothing to do with reality” and are untitled. Because the only interpretation that can be given is that of the Ministry of Economic Development ”.

Minister Calenda, to demonstrate his continued attention to the sector, did not exclude his participation in the convention on Tuesday in Naples, organized by the ANA.
