Rome, 18 November 2019 - Fire Brigade protest demonstration tomorrow from 10 to 13 in Rome in Piazza Montecitorio. They will all be in uniform to ask in the budget law for appropriations to equal pay, social security and careers for other State Bodies. The initiative is by the Conapo union, which was joined by the trade unions Apvvf, Sindir vvf and Dirstat vvf.
"All politicians praise us in emergencies, all publish on their social networks the participation in the funeral of those who die in service but then disappear when there is the budget law. We perceive on average more than 300 euros less per month than the other bodies, the 20% less and we have less pension protection. The Ministry of the Interior has calculated that 216 millions of euros a year are needed to clear this gap and the Conte government has put only 25 on the plate, of which 10 are a round trip, so they continue to treat us like a standard body B. The Fire Brigades demand urgent answers from the President Conte, from the Minister Lamorgese and from the heads of the majority parties Di Maio, Zingaretti and Renzi ", says Antonio Brizzi, general secretary Conapo who adds" Tomorrow we will fill the square with firemen in uniform to shout our disdain at the government. At the protest, in addition to the Fire Brigade from all over Italy, a uniformed representation of firefighters from Slovenia will also participate.
