A questionnaire to highlight good organizational practices and the needs of judicial offices with respect to the management of proceedings for crimes of gender and domestic violence. This is what the "Permanent Observatory on the effectiveness of the rules on gender and domestic violence" has developed, established by decree of the Minister of Justice, in collaboration with the "Working Group on Gender Violence" established within the Council Superior of the Judiciary (CSM).
The form will be addressed - for now - to all the Public Prosecutor's Offices at the Ordinary Courts and is divided into several sections, corresponding to the areas of interest of the questions: specialization and training of magistrates on gender and domestic violence; unity, personalization of the file and distribution of workloads; timeliness of judicial action; risk assessment and victim protection; coordination between judicial offices; coordination with the Prosecutor's Office and the Juvenile Court; coordination with the Ordinary Criminal Court; coordination with the Ordinary Civil Court; assessment of the suspect's dangerousness; monitoring of statistical data regarding the coercive measures adopted; interinstitutional networks; main critical issues encountered in the treatment of gender and domestic violence.
The Ministry of Justice and the CSM deemed it appropriate, in the spirit of loyal collaboration and as established in the Joint Committee, to send a single questionnaire to the prosecutor's offices, so as not to burden the offices with a double burden of compilation. Through the joint questionnaire, the Observatory and the CSM, in full synergy, intend to promote a better knowledge of the concrete needs felt by the judicial offices and of the virtuous practices experimented in the sector of the protection of victims of domestic and gender violence with a view to making them common heritage and in order to promote the adoption of uniform organizational models in relation to the size and resources of the offices.
